I think I may have a hearing problem, but I
am just not sure. What do I do? |
|
If you are 50 or over and find
the TV needs to be louder for you to hear, or
the family are suggesting you're not hearing
well or you find yourself nodding and smiling at
a social function without actually hearing the
conversation - it is very likely that you have a
hearing loss. To answer this important question
we suggest you book a hearing check-up. At Able
Hearing check-ups are FREE and only take 15
minutes of your time. At Able Hearing, our
audiologists (and not office staff) check your
hearing and discuss your concerns with you.
To
book a free, no obligation
hearing test please ring 03 9530 6120.
|
|
Do I need a referral to be seen by an
audiologist? |
|
You do not need a referral
from your GP or ENT Specialist, however if
you do suffer from a chronic ear disease or
are under the care of an ENT Specialist it is
best for an audiologist to be well informed
about your condition and a referral letter
will assist a diagnostic process. Our
audiologist will always liaise with your
doctor to discuss the outcomes. |

contact your health insurance provider
directly to discuss your entitlements.

Office of Hearing Services in Canberra following a
successful approval of a Hearing Services Voucher
Application Form. If you have never received the
services through this programme you will need to fill in
an application form which needs to be signed by yourself
and your family doctor. Before signing your doctor
should check your ears for wax and ask you questions
